Matthijs de Ligt’s agents are believed to be meeting with an array of Premier League clubs – not just Manchester United.
Austria and France kicks off at 8pm.
Here’s a quote from Austria manager Ralf Rangnick on Michael Olise, who has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford.
“He has never been called up by France but I love Michael Olise. If only he had Austrian origins!
“He is an exceptional player. He is quick, a strong dribbler, technically gifted and he works when he loses the ball. Whenever I saw him play, he had a smile on his face.
“I am not unhappy that Deschamps didn’t call him up!”
Remember Kia Joorabchian? The agent that convinced Carlos Tevez to jump for greed after his time at Manchester United.
Joorabchian now represents Joshua Zirkzee at Bologna, which means United may have to deal with him again shortly.
United have been heavily linked with the Dutch striker, who impressed during his first season in Italy following a transfer from Bayern Munich.
However, Joorabchian hasn’t changed his ways as an agent it seems. Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport (H/t Manchester World) claims that he is demanding £12.6m in agent fees to facilitate any deal.
That, on top of Zirkzee’s €40m release clause, would be close to £50m for the Netherlands international.
I know Bruno Fernandes’ focus right now is on Euro 2024, but does anyone else think this caption on Instagram is a message to Manchester United? 😅
Joao Felix has been linked with a move to Manchester United in the past, with agent Jorge Mendes attempting to strike a deal.
The Portugal star spent last season on loan at Barcelona.
Brentford manager Thomas Frank is working as a BBC pundit for Euro 2024.
Frank waxed lyrical over Ukraine striker Artem Dovbyk ahead of their 3-0 defeat against Romania this afternoon, saying: “Yeah definitely, there’s a lot of clubs looking at him I don’t doubt that.
“I can see him in the Premier League in the future as well, I like his left foot, it’s really, really good…”
Mark Chapman then asked Frank if he saw the Girona forward in a Brentford shirt.
Frank added: “You never know… no I don’t think so. I think we have a pretty good striker in Ivan Toney…”
Toney has been tipped with a move away from Brentford this summer, with Manchester United among a list of potential suitors.
The Telegraph claims that Crystal Palace will demand at least £65million for Marc Guehi this summer.
Palace have not given up hope of keeping Guehi, who is starring for England at Euro amid links to Manchester United.
Guehi has two years left to run on his current deal at Selhurst Park, but talks over an extension have been put on hold.
The England international has also been linked with a move to Tottenham this summer.
Manchester United have reportedly turned their attention to Crystal Palace and England defender Marc Guehi.
According to TEAMTalk, Palace are prepared to receive offers this summer for Guehi, who is valued at £50million.
United would rather lower than figure by offering Aaron Wan-Bissaka in exchange.
Stretty News has long believed that Wan-Bissaka has a preference to return to London.
Manchester United have signed 16-year-old James Overy, according to the Manchester Evening News.
The former Perth Glory right-back moved to England with his family a year ago.
He is expected to play for United’s U18s next season.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Mason Greenwood could be one of the first sales at Manchester United this summer.
Greenwood is looking for a new club, like Jadon Sancho, but well-placed sources have told Samuel Luckhurst that Greenwood’s probably departure is more “advanced” than Sancho’s.
Facundo Pellistri is attracting interest from Flamengo, according to Uruguayan journalist Sebas Giovanelli.
Flemengo want to sign the winger, but no further details have been provided in what is a vague update.
Pellestri spent last season on loan at Granada and is yet to make himself a regular at Manchester United, which is why he could be sold this summer.
I reckon he’s behind Amad Diallo in the pecking order at United.
Gary Neville understands why Benjamin Sesko has postponed a transfer to the Premier League, despite being linked with moves to Manchester United and Arsenal before signing a new deal at RB Leipzig.
“[He’s got] goals, youth and physically,” Neville said on ITV. “I think we are moving back to having a big physical striker up front, the game seems to have flipped a little bit by having big defenders and big strikers.
“He is someone who has so much potential and you can see why Premier League clubs are interested. But I can also see why, what is being suggested, he is staying at Leipzig for another year.
“It will give him the chance to grow without the spotlight you get on you in the Premier League and just develop his game a little bit more.”
Italian outfit Napoli are not happy about recent comments from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s agent.
The Georgian’s agent said in an interview yesterday that his client was planning to leave Napoli after Euro 2024, putting clubs like Manchester United on alert.
However, a statement from Napoli reads: “In reference to the statements of Kvaratskhelia’s agent, Mamuka Jugeli, and his father Badri, Calcio Napoli reiterates that the player has a contract for another three years with the club.
“Kvaratskhelia is not on the market. It’s not agents or fathers who decide on the future of a player under contract with Napoli, but the Calcio Napoli club!!! End of story.”
Manchester United cooled their interest in Juventus centre-back Gleison Bremer due to the Italian side’s reluctance to engage in talks, according to Tuttomercatoweb.
The report adds United have shifted their focus elsewhere after agreeing on personal terms with Everton starlet Jarrad Branthwaite.
United are also being linked with Lille’s Leny Yoro and Sporting Lisbon’s Antonio Silva.
Leny Yoro is one of Manchester United’s many centre-back targets.
The French youngster is attracting interest from United, Liverpool and Real Madrid.
CaughtOffside claims Liverpool are prepared to give Yoro a long-term contract, while United are keen to hold more talks with his entourage.
It has been reported by multiple outlets that Yoro’s preference is a move to Real Madrid.
According to A Bola, Manchester United are prepared to match Goncalo Inacio’s £50.8million release clause.
The report states that Liverpool could provide competition for United after expressing an interest in the Sporting Lisbon centre-back, who is representing Portugal at Euro 2024.
United have been linked with a number of centre-backs this summer, after agreeing on personal terms with Everton starlet Jarrad Branthwaite.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s agent has revealed that his client is planning to leave Napoli this summer.
Manchester United are among a host of Premier League clubs to be linked with the Georgian star.
Kvaratskhelia’s agent Mamuka Jugeli told Sport Imedzi, as quoted by The Express: “We want to leave Napoli, but now we’re all waiting for the Euro 2024.
“With (Antonio) Conte, Napoli have big plans. I’m sure they will qualify to the Champions League again next season and fight for the Scudetto. But that doesn’t mean that Kvaratskhelia wants to stay there, I don’t mean it.
“I didn’t talk with Khvicha about this issue, the most important thing for him is (the) national team.
“Our goal is the team that plays in the Champions League. The worst thing is that if he stays here, Khvicha will lose one year because of that… we are worried.”
Manchester United remain interested in Japanese international Zion Suzuki.
The Japan international was subject to interest from United last year, but the 21-year-old opted to join Sint-Truidense in Belgium instead.
Speaking to GiveMeSport, journalist Dean Jones said: “United have never lost interest in the player so it does not surprise me to see new stories about them wanting him.
“The problem is he does not fancy sitting on the bench playing second fiddle to Onana and there really is no sign that Onana is going anywhere soon.
“He has said he would like to test himself in the Premier League but if he said ‘no’ to United a year ago then I don’t see why that would change now, because he still wants to be a number one. And one position not up for grabs this season is United’s first-choice ‘keeper.”
Good morning and welcome to today’s Manchester United live transfer blog.
I’ll update this page throughout the day with the latest transfer news surrounding United.
The last transfer live blog was on Friday when we reflected on how Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite has agreed on personal terms ahead of a move to United. The Reds must reach an agreement with Everton over a transfer fee.
Over the weekend, we learned that United failed with their initial bid for Branthwaite. The offer falls well short of their valuation for the highly-rated defender.
Lille’s Leny Yoro is another defensive target but his preference is to join Real Madrid this summer, as per The Express.
Stay tuned for more updates throughout the day.
