‘Pathetic’ – Ten Hag gives fiery response to hypothetical question after Arsenal defeat

Erik ten Hag did not take kindly to one question after Manchester United’s 1-0 defeat to Arsenal on Sunday.

The Reds suffered a club-record 14th Premier League defeat of a nightmare campaign at a time there is mounting pressure on the manager to keep his job.

INEOS are set to make changes at the club and it remains to be seen if they will back Ten Hag into a third campaign as manager, with United on course for their lowest finish in more than 30 years.

United are currently eighth in the table with two league matches remaining. It doesn’t look like we’ll be playing European football unless we beat Man City in the FA Cup final.

Arsenal forward Leandro Trossard scored the game’s only goal in the first half after United’s defence fell asleep.

Ten Hag was asked a hypothetical question about his injury-hit squad after the game. It was whether his team – without injuries – would stand a better chance against the title-chasing Gunners.

“That is pathetic,” Ten Hag said, as per the Manchester Evening News. “We don’t have to answer this question in this moment. Because it isn’t.

“We have these problems and the problems have caused us an effect in results. But I don’t know where we would be if we had the players on board.

“If we had all of the players on board, we will get more points and have more consistency in the backline.”

United did not perform terribly but we didn’t have the players required to get more from it. Bruno Fernandes was a bit loss, as Lisandro Martinez and Luke Shaw have been for most of the season. Fingers crossed all three are fit for the FA Cup final against Man City later this month.

  1. 😭🤮😭 What Are Pathetic; Are ETH And This Miserable Team!! To Think That We Sacked A Club Legend Far, Far, Too Soon, To Bring In All This Garbage; Is Heartbreakingly Pathetic!! This Folks, Is The Worst I Have Ever Seen From Our Beloved Man United Ever!! Bar None!! Yes, This Pathetic Team Is Even Worse Than Our Relegation Year Team Of 1974!! They Had Spirit And Fight To The Very End, Back Then!! And They Were Paid Peanuts!!

The Fact That We Are Still Mid Table, At The End Of This Miserable Season, Is A Sad Testament As To How Far English Football Has Fallen Over The Decades!! We Are Now Like The Continentals Were Back Then!!

To Be Sure Today’s Football As A Whole, Is Doing Much Better From A Business Percpective, Than Back Then; But From A Football Performance And Footballing Spirit Percpective, Its Not Even Close!! [But, Today’s Football Sure Is Making A Lot Of Money With Pony Show Players 😂🤣😂!! Far More Than Anybody’s Wildest Dreams Back Then!!]

Today’s Football And Footballers, While More Flashy, Are A Far Cry From The High Spirit And Shear Intensity Of Players And Teams From The Golden Age Of English Football In The 1950s, 60s, And 70s; When Footballers Were Playing Like Giants!! Just To Play Football – Only!! For Little Or Nothing!!

Today’s Entire United Football Team Cannot Fill The Cleats Of Any ONE Of The Busby Babes’ Edwards And Charlton, Or Even The Post Sir Matt Giants Like Willie Morgan And Mark Hughs; Not To Mention Those Giants Of SAF’s Incredible Era!!

And To, Further, Think, That We Allowed This Pathetic P.E. Teacher, Masquerading As A Football Club Manager, To Let The Only Recent Player We Had, That Did Fill Our Past Giants’ Cleats, To Leave Our Club Acrimoniously!! I Am Referring To Cristiano Ronaldo!!

ETH Has Been A Total Failure And Utter Disaster, For Our Club, Of Historically Epic Proportions!! Fire The P.E. Teacher!! And If We’re Going To Bring Someone Back, Like Mourinho (Who Is Reported To Have Said That “He Would A WALK To, Old Trafford For A Second Chance At Managing Our Club”), Than Put Ole` Back On The Wheel!! Then Continue Purging The Club Of The Deadwood Prima Donnas!!

Not Even Pep Guardiola Could Win With The Losers We Have!!
