(Video) Antony finally breaks the deadlock against Burnley at Old Trafford

Manchester United have finally broken the deadlock against struggling Burnley, with Antony coming to the rescue in the 79th minute.

Erik ten Hag’s men started the game lively and although they were consistently creating chances, the visitors were still being allowed to have their way in United’s defensive third.

There was no telling whether the game would escalate into another goal-fest or if both sides’ inability to convert their chances would incuse the affair.

Antony, the Brazil winger, kept his place in the side going into this game and the former Ajax star was one of United’s most prominent players on the day and it was the winger who would provide the golden touch with roughly 10 minutes to go, as seen below.

Antony intercepted a poor pass from the Burnley defender before charging down at goal, managing to get a shot away before his balance was thrown off.

He managed to find the same corner that sparked a remarkable turnaround against Liverpool not so long ago but the goal was almost immediately made obsolete after Burnley scored from a penalty.
