Former Manchester United coach wins Championship Manager of the Season award

Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna has been named Championship manager of the season.

The former Manchester United coach, who was unfairly criticised during his time under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has Ipswich Town in a strong position with three games left to play.

Ipswich are one point clear at the top of the table as they look to return to the Premier League for the first time since 2002.

They have won 73 out of 129 games since McKenna took charge in December 2021.

Back-to-back promotion would be a remarkable achievement for McKenna, who is still a young coach at 37. He was thought highly of at United and I’m sure the likes of Solskjaer are proud to see his managerial career go from strength to strength.

We would like to congratulate McKenna on his latest achievement. It will be great to see him lead Ipswich back to the top-flight.
