Erik ten Hag did not storm out of press conference, despite reports to the contrary

The media are busy suggesting Erik ten Hag stormed out of his post-match press conference on Saturday evening, but that wasn’t the case. Some journalists think they can spread misinformation without context. Not on our watch.

Manchester United have only registered one win in seven games after a disappointing 2-2 draw with Bournemouth on Saturday.

After the highs of last weekend, which saw Ten Hag’s side go toe-to-toe with title-chasing Liverpool, United were brought back to reality at the Vitality Stadium. Dominic Solanke opened the scoring after turning Willy Kambwala inside out before refiling the ball past Andre Onana and into the bottom corner.

Bruno Fernandes levelled the scoring before Justin Kluivert restored the home side’s lead before half-time. The Portuguese Magnifico equalised again from the penalty spot to ensure United gained a point from their travels, but not the three points they intended to pick up.

The result means United are seventh in the Premier League table and potentially on track for our worst campaign in the top flight.

Ten Hag answered an array of questions from reporters after United’s recent 2-2 draw, however, one reporter tried to squeeze in an extra question when time had already been called on the press conference.

You can see from the video below that Ten Hag is positioned to leave his seat before the question is asked. He just continues to leave the room.

It doesn’t help when influential journalists like Fabrizio Romano spread misinformation like this, without any context. Easy know he wasn’t at the Vitality Stadium to report and was probably thousands of miles away from the game too.
