Dani Olmo emerged from the Barcelona academy before making a name for himself at Dinamo Zagreb before joining RB Leipzig. The Spaniard is now being tipped to get a big summer move, with Manchester United reportedly in the race for his signature.

A story in the Daily Mail suggests Manchester United are in a battle with Real Madrid for Olmo.

The RB Leipzig star is claimed to have a £52 million release clause but if United’s interest is genuine as reported, the Reds will need to beat Real Madrid, Man City, Tottenham and Chelsea to secure his signature.

Olmo has scored seven times in 19 outings in all competitions this season and he starred for Spain on Tuesday night by scoring in their 3-3 draw with five-time world champions Brazil.

At the age of 25, United would be getting a fantastic player who has a high enough ceiling to get even better. His versatility would be a bonus for any top side as Olmo can play on either flank or off the striker.

The former Barcelona youth player signed a new contract last June which runs until 2027. However, the clause means several suitors are now assessing whether he could fit into their plans for the summer.

We already know United are in the market for a centre-forward, centre-back and left-back this summer. A central midfielder or two is needed too, but a lot will depend on who leaves Old Trafford in the coming months.
