CL quarter-finalists readying blockbuster summer bid for 13 G/A United ace

Paris Saint-German are ready to reignite their interest in Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford, having failed in their initial pursuit in 2022.

Now, the reigning Ligue 1 champions are planning for life without Kylian Mbappe after reports confirmed his intentions to leave the club when his contract expires this summer.

£171 million per year will be slashed from their wage bill when the World Cup winner departs, although their state ownership already gives them almost unlimited freedom in the transfer market.

At the time of their maiden approach, it was believed that PSG had proposed a wage worth £400,000 per week to Rashford to try and sway him away from his boyhood club.

A deal failed to materialise and the Englishman stayed put, opting to stay loyal to his roots before going on to oversee a career-best campaign by netting 30 goals in 2022/2023 for the first time in his career.

Now, The Mirror claims that PSG are ready to test United’s resolve this summer with a £75 million bid for Rashford, who has scored seven goals and assisted a further six in his past 34 appearances.

The 26-year-old signed a five-year contract in July 2023 and now earns a reported £325,000 per week.
