‘He could end up at Man United’ – Alan Pardew tips summer move for Premier League star

Alan Pardew has suggested that Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha could join Manchester United in the summer transfer window.

According to the former manager of West Ham United and Newcastle United, Palhinha is now the finest holding midfield player in the Premier League.

The 28-year-old Portugal international is predicted by the talkSPORT analyst to depart Fulham in the summer of 2024.

And according to Pardew, the former star of Sporting Lisbon may wind up at Manchester United.

While speaking on talkSPORT, Pardew said: “In my opinion, the second-best central midfield player, holding midfield player, in the country, Palhinha.

“I mean, everybody wanted him last year, Munich almost did the deal, Bayern Munich, and now it looks like a good move by him to stay at Fulham because he will probably go this summer, and who knows, he could end up at Man United.”

Palhinha is a player Man United should definitely target in the summer transfer window. The club could lose both Casemiro and Sofyan Amrabat at the end of the season and Palhinha is someone who could be a worthy replacement.

He is at the height of his game and could have a big influence right away at United. He is an experienced player who has been a consistent performer for Fulham.

Last season, Palhinha was targeted by Liverpool and Bayern Munich, which further showcases how good he is since the top clubs are interested in signing him.

United’s midfield has been shaky all season and it definitely needs reinforcements. The Portuguese midfielder can be the player who can provide United security in the middle of the park.

His main qualities are his ability to make interceptions and break opposition’s momentum, something that the Red Devils desperately need.
