‘He doesn’t really fit in at Man United’ – Player set to leave in the summer

According to Mikkel Bischoff, a former forward for Wolverhampton Wanderers, Christian Eriksen is anticipated to depart Manchester United at the end of the season.

The midfielder has only appeared twice for Man United this year, thus his playing time has been reduced in recent weeks.

According to Bischoff’s comments to Discovery, which were cited by PL Bold, Man United no longer need the 32-year-old.

“It looks like it. Eriksen is gone this summer. He doesn’t really fit in at Manchester United anymore,” he said.

The Danish international’s contract expires in 2025, and he has already been linked to a move away from Old Trafford.

Eriksen briefly played for Brentford before joining Man United in 2022 on a free transfer. Should he decide to leave the Red Devils, BT pundit Lasse Vøge has advised the former Tottenham Hotspur player to think about coming back to the Bees.

“A switch back to Thomas Frank and Brentford would be a great solution in my eyes, almost a ‘no brainer’. Right now, he’s just a fringe player,” Vøge explained.

Because of his circumstances at the club, former Denmark international Thomas Gravesen believes Eriksen shouldn’t be included in the selection for the national team.

“There’s no room for him in the Danish national team right now with the form he’s in and the way he’s used at United,” Gravesen told Discovery, relayed by Tipsbladet.

“He’s not playing, he’s not in match shape, and he’s poor when he gets the chance. For me, there’s no room for Christian Eriksen in the starting line-up of the Danish national team right now.”

With Man United expected to target midfield signings in the summer, Eriksen is surely on his way out of the club.

United have a number of midfield options already and with new signings coming in soon, the former Spurs midfielder will have to find a new club in the summer.
