Sevilla head coach Quique Sanchez Flores could be set to hand Hannibal Mejbri his first start for the La Liga club this weekend.

The Manchester United loanee hasn’t had the best of starts to life in Spain.

After linking up with Sevilla last month, on a six-month loan deal, Hannibal has managed a grand total of 37 minutes on the pitch after piecing together three appearances from the bench.

Hannibal reportedly had a training ground bust-up shortly after his arrival, which probably means he started life on the wrong foot in new surroundings.

Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo claim Sevilla boss Quique Sanchez Flores is ready to start Hannibal for the first time when Sevilla take on Real Sociedad.

Sevilla are facing a midfield crisis with Djibril Sow suspended and all of Nemanja Gudelj, Joan Jordan and Lucien Agoume ruled out with injuries.

That should mean that Hannibal will get a chance to impress from the start of the game, but he will have to do so in a Sevilla side that has struggled all season. For that reason I find it surprising that he hasn’t been handed a start yet.
