Manchester United linked with Real Madrid ace as Florentino Perez considers big sale in summer

Real Madrid are trying to sign PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe in a deal that will have big ramifications for the rest of football.

The arrival of Mbappe could lead to a number of players being sold by the La Liga giants.

Football Espana are citing reports emerging from Spain and they suggest Real Madrid president Florentino Perez will sell one top player this summer to help the club fund Mbappe’s hefty salary and also to make space in the team for the Frenchman.

Previous reports looked at players like Vinicius Junior or Rodrygo to make way for Mbappe, however, a new report suggests a midfielder will be sold instead.

Relevo claims Federico Valverde, Aurelien Tchoumani and Eduardo Camavinga are all under consideration. The same applies to highly rated defender Eder Militao.

In turn, TEAMtalk believe this will set up a huge transfer battle between Manchester United and Chelsea for Valverde.

United have been linked with the Uruguay midfielder in the past, which is why we are starting to see the links reappear.

There is very little – right now – to suggest United are planning a move for Valverde this summer.

That said, all of the players Perez is reportedly willing to sell would improve our team, so it is something to look at if we can qualify for next season’s Champions League. None of those players want to be playing Europa League.
