Villa Park was the scene of Manchester United’s latest win in the Premier League, with Erik ten Hag’s men marching to their third consecutive win in the Premier League.

Just three points separate United from Aston Villa in the table now, with an additional point making up the gap to Tottenham in fourth place.

After seemingly being completely out of any conversation to finish in the top four, United have forced themselves into a position where it’s entirely possible.

Rasmus Hojlund has been at the heart of United’s turnaround in the new year, with the Danish striker scoring in five consecutive Premier League games, becoming the youngster player to do since Nicolas Anelka for Arsenal.

Speaking prior to the game in which he scored the fifth of those goals, former United captain Roy Keane admitted that he has seen a switch in mentality in Hojlund.

The Irish icon claims that Hojlund looks like a completely new player, with the former Atalanta star showing a different type of hunger and aggression.

“Absolutely. I think the last three or four weeks, of course, a striker needs a few goals to get that confidence, get that belief, and he has got that over the last four or five games,” Keane told Sky Sports, via HITC.

“He looks a different player, he looks strong, he looks aggressive, he is taking his chances, he has got that desire to score goals. If you look at him, he is a big, strong boy.”

Of course, Hojlund’s scoring run could come to an end at any point but you would back him to score whenever he’s on the pitch.

He has now struck a brilliant understanding with some of his team-mates and the returns of some stars has definitely eased the pressure on the forward.
