It remains to be seen how Manchester United decide to tackle this summer’s transfer window, as there are still question marks over the structure of the club.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s acquisition of 25% has been confirmed but the deal has not been ratified by the Premier League, which means that Ratcliffe is still unable to control the club exactly how he wants.
Despite still being majority owners, the Glazers have relinquished control of the club’s football operations, leaving that to the new shareholder.
Regardless, it is likely that United will be looking to sign a centre-back as doubts are growing over the futures of Raphael Varane, Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof.
Now, it has been reported that Juventus centre-back Dean Huijsen is a player of interest at Old Trafford, with the young defender impressing this season.
Huijsen, 18, has spent the last three years at Juventus as a youth player but moved to Roma on loan in the winter market.
According to Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, Huijsen is one of the names on United’s shortlist after he caught the eye of officials at the club.
Huijsen has three more years remaining on his contract at the Turin club and an exit is possible, with Bundesliga clubs also said to be in the running to secure his signature.
As per the report, Huijsen is valued at £25m and if United view the young Dutchman as an option for the future, they will be able to see past that price tag easily.
