Amad Diallo’s choice to stay at Manchester United in January seems to have been largely influenced by a “positive conversation” that he had with Erik ten Hag.
During the winter transfer window, there were rumours that the Ivorian winger might leave Old Trafford on loan.
This prospect sparked substantial interest in Diallo from many Championship teams, including Sunderland, who he joined on loan last year.
Diallo moved to the Stadium of the Light as United looked for a team that could support the 21-year-old in his further growth. Sunderland turned out to be a great option in this regard.
Although it was evident that Ten Hag intended to take the young player on his team’s preseason tour of America, Sunderland supporters were devastated to see him return to Old Trafford in the summer.
Unfortunately, Diallo suffered a catastrophic knee injury during the July friendly against. Surgery was needed to resolve the problem, which would keep him out of action for about five months.
Ten Hag and the 21-year-old had one-on-one conversations to “prepare Amad’s future involvement in [the] Man United squad,” according to Fabrizio Romano.

As the season is about to enter the business end, United would need options from the bench to contribute and Diallo could be the player to provide that depth and quality.
Amad has no chance of playing as Anthony s place has to be protected at all costs that’s why sancho was frozen out
