PSG offer outcast to Premier League clubs before Manchester United knock back proposal

Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain are actively working on loaning out French forward Hugo Ekitike.

The Frenchman has slipped down the pecking order in Paris and is considered PSG’s seventh-choice attacker. After all, Ekitike has played just 8 minutes of Ligue 1 football this season.

According to teamTALK, the PSG outcast was offered to a host of Premier League clubs, including United, but the opportunity to sign him on loan was knocked back by those at Old Trafford.

Ekitike initially signed for PSG on loan for the 2022/23 season before scoring three goals and providing four assists in 32 appearances. He was later offered a permanent deal but now finds himself behind an array of attacking talent in Luis Enrique’s pecking order.

With deadline day on Thursday, it doesn’t look like United will be signing any players – even on loan unless an exciting option becomes available in the final hours of the transfer window.

United need a striker to take some of the responsibility from Rasmus Hojlund, although there is no point bringing in players who don’t meet the require standard.
