Juventus want €70m for defender amid Manchester United links

Juventus defender Gleison Bremer emerged as a Manchester United target earlier this month.

The Reds need to add quality to the defensive department, although judging by how much Juventus will demand for Bremer, we can forget about a deal being struck before the January transfer window deadline.

Numerous targets have been identified but it sounds like the sort of business that will have to wait until the end of the season.

United will need to pay a minimum of €70 million (£59.7m) to sign Juventus defender Bremer in the summer, according to reports in Italy.

Calciomercato claim that United are aware of Juventus’ asking price for the Brazil international.

The 26-year-old is under contract at the Serie A club until 2028, which means they’re not under pressure to sell him this year.

United could say goodbye to several defenders in the summer – including Raphael Varane, Jonny Evans, Harry Maguire and possibly Victor Lindelof. All five defenders all face uncertain futures which gives Ten Hag an opportunity to strengthen his defence in the transfer market.
