Marcus Rashford has arrived back at Carrington this morning after reporting ill on Friday.

The Manchester United star missed Sunday’s FA Cup win over Newport County following controversy over Rashford’s whereabouts the night before called in sick.

This became one of the biggest stories to hit the headlines last week, which we know will always be the case when something of interest. Rashford’s problems range but one of them right now is he keeps hitting the headlines for the wrong reasons. It’s a big different from last season when he scored 30 goals.

Rashford arrived at Carrington this morning and was accompanied by his agent and brother, Dwaine Maynard, and they are expected to have talks with Erik ten Hag.

Ten Hag insisted on Sunday the case is an “internal matter” that he will “deal with”, as per the Manchester Evening News.

The manager knows he’s got an incredible player in Rashford, though it’s not a secret that his standards have dropped this season. United need him back at his best if we’ve got any chance of finishing in the top four.
