Manchester United midfielder held positive talks with Turkish club

Turkish giants Galatasaray are interested in signing Christian Eriksen.

According to Turkish outlet Star, Galatasaray are ‘considering’ a loan offer for Eriksen with an obligation to buy, having seen their initial proposal rejected by Manchester United.

The report also states that Eriksen has held ‘positive’ talks with the Turkish club.

Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk is said to be interested in Eriksen because of his versatility. He views him as a player that can operate behind the striker or in a deeper midfield role, which is what we’ve seen him do since joining United as a free agent last year.

Despite playing 19 games for United this season, contributing a goal and two assists, Eriksen appears to have an uncertain future at Old Trafford. There is a feeling he is coming to the end of his career, or that he is no longer able to play every week at the highest level.

Furthermore, Eriksen’s fitness issues have added to United’s injury problems this season.
