Sir Dave Brailsford influence already felt at Manchester United

Sir Dave Brailsford’s influence at Manchester United is already being felt.

With INEOS taking charge of football operations at Old Trafford, they’ve quickly decided to appoint Man City chief executive Omar Berrada as CEO which is a big coup that shocked our rivals.

According to iNews, the appointment of Berrada is a statement appointment of epic proportions and insiders believe it’s the beginning of the end for the Glazers.

The report also states that Berrada has thrived when taking on the biggest challenges, which is probably what attracted him to the job in the first place. As well as joining the biggest football club in the world.

Pete Hall reports: “During initial meetings Ratcliffe and Brailsford held at Old Trafford and Carrington earlier this month, Brailsford kept repeating one mantra to anyone who would listen: this club is a ‘performance challenge’.”

They managed to negotiate everything with Berrada without the media knowing anything about it in advance. Hopefully INEOS can continue to operate so smoothly.

Inside their first month at the club, with the deal yet to be ratified, Ratcliffe and Brailsford have poached the best in the business.

United are also looking at Newcastle United’s Dan Ashworth as a potential sporting director.
