‘Tight game’ – Dimitar Berbatov backs Manchester United to beat Tottenham

Former Manchester United and Tottenham striker Dimitar Berbatov has made his predictions for this weekend’s Premier League fixtures.

Both teams go into the game with several players out injured or away on international duty.

It must be an odd fixture for Berbatov to predict since he represented Spurs and United during his years in the Premier League, but he is going for a 1-0 win for the Reds on Sunday.

The two teams are four positions and eight points apart in the league table, although Erik ten Hag will hope to climb up the standings in the new year. It must start with a win over Tottenham, who are fifth in the table, on 39 points.

“I can see this being a tight game and I’m going to say it will be 1-0 to United,” Berbatov said as per The Mirror. “It sounds boring, but I hope that’s not the case. I think there’s a lot at stake for both teams. That can sometimes play with your mind and make you not produce your best game possible.”

Berbatov has gone for a United win over Tottenham in what will be the biggest game the Premier League has to offer this weekend. In the early fixture on Saturday, Chelsea beat Fulham 1-0 at Stamford Bridge to overtake United in the league table.
