‘He had a lot of fun’ – Borussia Dortmund boss welcomes Jadon Sancho

Borussia Dortmund manager Edin Terzic has commented on the arrival of Manchester United loanee Jadon Sancho after his first training session since returning to the Bundesliga side on loan.

The England international has not played since August having been banished from United’s first team activities since his public fall-out with Erik ten Hag in the first week on September.

There was never an apology and the pair haven’t been able to settle their differences. However, Ten Hag was asked about Sancho’s temporary move to Borussia Dortmund at his press conference and made it clear that he wished him well back at his former club.

Terzic has his own press conference and confirmed that Sancho had took part in his first training session with Dortmund. He also said the winger was happy and had trained a lot in the last few weeks (what about the past four months?).

“We are happy that Jadon is finally with us,” Terzic said, as per the Manchester Evening News. “He had a lot of fun on the training pitch. He is healthy, he has trained a lot in the last few weeks. We will use the session again today and see how far he is.”

Sancho hasn’t had to deal with the pressures of playing football since earlier this season and his mindset wasn’t in the right place then. Now, it is a matter of trying to rejuvenate his career in Germany.

The worry is his market value will drop further if he fails to impress during his second stint at Dortmund. The move has already been criticised by some in Germany.

Dortmund have a lot of work to do to turn around their own season. They are currently fifth place and six points adrift of fourth place RB Leipzig.
