(Photos) Sir Jim Ratcliffe meets Manchester United players and staff at Carrington

Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his Ineos team have had a busy week at Manchester United.

A number of meetings took place at Old Trafford and Carrington, with the club now sharing photographers of the visit when the British billionaire was accompanied by Sir Dave Brailsford.

Ineos are still waiting for regulatory approval to acquire a 25% stake in United, but nobody is expecting any obstacles in that process. It just tends to take 6-8 weeks for everything to get approved.

However, first impressions are important and Ratcliffe has been making his presence felt at the club. It shows some change because the Glazers haven’t been present since their 2005 takeover.

Ineos will take control of football operations at United, so it was key for Brailsford to be present alongside Ratcliffe as they met Erik ten Hag and Marc Skinner, as well as the players.

Ten Hag told reporters that he held ‘very constructive’ meetings with the club’s new minority shareholders this week and looks forward to working with them in the future.
