Jadon Sancho scheduled to join Borussia Dortmund squad in Marbella

Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho is set to return to Borussia Dortmund on loan after being banished from Erik ten Hag’s first team.

The two clubs have ‘made a breakthrough’ in negotiations over a loan move for Sancho.

This comes months after Sancho was exiled to train with youth players by Ten Hag after the England international publicly hit out at the manager on social media. Sancho accused Ten Hag of lying about his performances in training and he’s been dropped from the matchday squad since September as a result.

Sancho has been out of the first team for four months, however, he is on the verge of re-joining Borussia Dortmund on loan.

According to German outlet BILD, the deal ‘will go through’ and only the ‘smallest tax details remain to be clarified’, including a loan fee.

The report suggests that fee could be as little as £2.6m for Sancho, who is expected to meet up with the Dortmund squad at their winter training camp in Marbella on Friday.

United should be trying to get Sancho out of the club as quick as possible because it’s not good to have unhappy and disinterested players in or around the training ground. And, for Sancho’s sake, at least he can get back to arriving late for training and playing the odd match.
