Three Manchester United youngsters could leave on loan in January

Manchester United could send as many as three youngsters out on loan in January.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Dan Gore is one of the young talents that United are eager to send on loan. The 19-year-old made his debut against Crystal Palace in the League Cup win earlier this season and he has attracted interest from a number of Championship clubs, including Preston North End.

The report also states that United have received enquiries from League One and League Two clubs about taking striker Joe Hugill on loan.

Hugill, 20, went on the pre-season tour during the summer and is expected to sign a new contract as part of any deal that sees him head out on loan.

There is also an expectation that one of United’s young goalkeepers will head out on loan. That could mean a temporary exit for Radek Vitek or Dermot Mee.

The aim for any of these players going on loan is to gain first-team experience. Sadly, though, loan deals don’t always go to plan. United are set to recall young striker Charlie McNeill from his season-loan loan at League Two side Stevenage.

McNeill has only made three starts for Stevenage and has not played since September 23.

United have already sent one player on loan this month, with Donny van de Beek joining Eintracht Frankfurt until the end of the season. Hopefully that goes to plan and we can sell the Netherlands international in the summer.
