Wan-Bissaka 4, Antony 3: player ratings from Nottingham Forest 2-1 Manchester United

Manchester United have suffered their 14th defeat of the season in all competitions as Erik ten Hag’s men continue to stutter in the Premier League.

Just days after what was, arguably, United’s best performance of the season against Aston Villa, they were shown up by struggling Nottingham Forest on Saturday evening.

United are continuing to be mauled by the absence of vital first-team players, with Rasmus Hojlund becoming the latest player to miss a game.

Man United Player Ratings

Andre Onana – 6
Not much he could have about either of the goals.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – 4
Not a good night for the right-back. Struggled greatly.

Raphael Varane – 4
Like many of his team-mates, it was a night to forget for the Frenchman.

Jonny Evans – 5
Seems to be United’s most consistent performer at times. Doesn’t look shaky but certainly didn’t pull up any trees.

Diogo Dalot – 5
An unlikely driving force in the side sometimes. Struck the post with a stunning effort in the second half.

Kobbie Mainoo – 5
Struggled in the first half and didn’t come out for the second. You could tell why.

Christian Eriksen – 4
Not the conditions he thrives in at all.

Antony – 3
It’s increasingly difficult to imagine Antony turning things around at United.

Bruno Fernandes – 5
A one-man show can only go on for so long. Needs help.

Marcus Rashford – 5
That goal will do him well but that was not a good performance by any means. Sloppy and body language continues to be poor.

Alejandro Garnacho – 6
United’s best player in recent weeks. Has an understanding of the game beyond his age.

  1. Bruno deserved 1 not 5. He gave away the second goal by leaving Amad’s cross, they broke immediately and scored.
