Manchester United pulled one back against Aston Villa after Unai Emery’s men grabbed a two-goal lead going into half-time on Boxing Day.
United have definitely improved from their recent performances and Villa’s goals have come against the run of play, it can be argued.
After going two goals down, United started the second half on the front foot and Alejandro Garnacho thought he scored his side’s first goal just after half-time.
The Argentine youngster rounded Emiliano Martinez before finding the net but the goal was ruled out after the VAR intervened.
This time Alejandro Garnacho's goal does count! 🔴

Just minutes later, Garnacho would halve Villa’s lead in similar fashion, latching onto a perfect pass from Marcus Rashford, as seen above.
United now have roughly 30 minutes to grab an equaliser.
