For England, she played a pivotal role between the sticks as they progressed to the World Cup final and looked to build on 2022’s scintillating Euros triumph. While they ultimately weren’t able to get over the line, Earps did her bit by saving a penalty in the final match and tallied the most clean sheets across the tournament.
She did reign victorious with the Lionesses in April though, when they overturned international giants Brazil to lift the Finalissima on home turf in front of over 83,000 fans.
As such, it’s no surprise that Earps has already been named the BBC Women’s Footballer of the Year and England Women’s Player of the Year, and you’d certainly place no bets on the SPOTY being her last accolade. Long may they continue.
"It's not been the easiest journey and I wouldn't be where I am without a number of incredible people in my corner."
