Bayern Munich has been talking to the media about their Champions League tie against Manchester United on Tuesday night at Old Trafford.
It’s a night to behold when you consider it will be about two European giants coming head-to-head under the floodlights at the Theatre of Dreams.
For the Bundesliga giants, it’s a bit of a nothing affair since they’ve already secured top spot in Group A. It’s a completely different story for Manchester United as we need a win and for results elsewhere to go our way to have any chance of reaching the last-16 of the Champions League.
Bayern go into the game on the back of a 5-1 thumping at Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday, so Tuchel has sent a warning to his players ahead of United’s crucial Champions League tie.
The former Chelsea coach is demanding a reaction from his players after their embarrassing defeat.
“We underestimated the danger of the situation and completely gave the game away very early on,” Tuchel said, as per the Manchester Evening News. “But I have confidence in my team. There’s no point in bad-mouthing everything now. It continues on Tuesday [at] Old Trafford. We need a reaction there.”
United are relying on a lot of things to go their way in order to get to the next stage of the competition.
