Jadon Sancho swap-deal could see Manchester United sign €30m attacker that Jurgen Klopp is eyeing

Manchester United are exploring all the options for Jadon Sancho’s expected exit in January.

When the window opens in a matter of weeks, the winger will enter his fourth month of being exiled from United’s first-team and its facilities. Neither Sancho nor Erik ten Hag shows any sign of swallowing their pride so, as it stands, all signs point to the exit for the player.

It remains to be seen whether Sancho will depart on loan or a permanent deal. Should it be the latter, United will be well aware that they’ll need to cut their losses on his price tag; they parted with an eye-watering £73 million to prise him from Borussia Dortmund in 2021 and he has since returned just 12 goals and six assists in 82 appearances as a Red.

It’s a stark contrast from the numbers he produced in Germany – 50 goals and 64 assists in 137 outings, which makes it fairly evident why Dortmund are willing to take him back for a second stint.

Dortmund eyeing Sancho reunion

As per Sport BILD, the Bundesliga outfit are keen on signing the 23-year-old in hopes of helping him revive his career and form, but since they’re strapped for cash even at the best of times, Dortmund would prefer a part-exchange deal that sees Liverpool-linked Donyell Malen sent to Old Trafford in return for Sancho.

Malen recently acquired a new agent in the form of SEG, whose other clients include Ten Hag and Rasmus Hojlund, in hopes of them securing him his long-term goal of a move to England.
