Manchester United have reportedly placed Casemiro, Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho on their list of available players in the January window, as per the Independent.
The latter of the trio is entirely expected, as his expulsion from the first-team will be entering its fourth month when the window opens and there are no signs that Sancho will be integrated back into the setup under Erik ten Hag.
Conditions of his potential exit would need to be discussed, ie. whether he leaves on loan, a loan with an obligation to buy or a permanent sale. Currently, it is believed that Juventus are keen on acquiring his services as well as his former club Borussia Dortmund.
As for Casemiro, he played an integral role in his first season at Old Trafford but came under fire for his lacklustre performances at the beginning of the 2023/24 term. The Brazilian already missed a handful of matches with a knock early on, and then went on to sustain a hamstring injury and has now been out of action for over a month. He’s not expected back until the new year.
Varane’s potential exit
Much to fans’ surprise, Varane has fallen out of favour this term to the likes of Jonny Evans and Victor Lindelof, with Harry Maguire’s resurgent form making him irreplaceable in the starting 11. He is reportedly being targeted by Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich, but it is suggested that he wants to see out the season with United.
Sales will be necessary if the club want to make any signings this winter.
Hopefully ten Hag will go and they can all stay!
