Sir Jim Ratcliffe billboard spotted near Old Trafford ahead of Manchester United investment

Sir Jim Ratcliffe is edging closer to completing his investment in Manchester United and a billboard has been spotted of him near Old Trafford.

An advertising billboard with a welcome message to Ratcliffe has been spotted ahead of his arrival at United.

The British billionaire, who owns Ineos among several sporting entities, is on the verge of acquiring a 25% stake in United worth approximately £1.3 billion, as per the Daily Mail.

Casual Football Shirts claim responsibility for the Ratcliffe banner which includes the famous ‘Welcome to Manchester’ design.

A spokesperson for Casual Football Shirts told Stretty News: “As a lifelong United supporter, I wanted to put something positive up near the ground for the incoming new owner. I am sick of seeing companies mocking United for their advertising, like Screwfix did near the ground recently”

Welcome to Manchester

Man City ‘welcomed’ Carlos Tevez to the city, even though he had already been living there, after he sealed a controversial transfer to the blues in 2009.

Images on social media now show Ratcliffe on a ‘Welcome to Manchester’ banner as we impatiently wait for the big announcement.

Ratcliffe is poised to take control of football operates at the club and we are expecting to see new members added to the recruitment team. Furthermore, it has already been announced that Richard Arnold is set to leave the club by the end of the year. Football director John Murtough is likely to follow Arnold out through the exit door.

Changes are going to United. And, the sooner the better!
