Manchester United U19s beaten by Galatasaray in UEFA Youth League

Manchester United’s U19s have been beaten 1-0 by Galatasaray in the UEFA Youth League group game.

This means any hope our U19s had of progressing to the next round of the competition are left hanging by a thread, which is pretty similar to the first team.

The difference for Erik ten Hag’s side is we must win our game against Galatasaray or our Champions League campaign will come to a premature end.

Anyhow, Baran Demirglu’s first half goal sealed the win for the home side.

United have won just one of their first five group games but the conditions in Istanbul did not help matters.

The weather is getting worse too but there’s nothing to suggest – from UEFA at least – that tonight’s game is under threat.

The U19s game finished 1-0 in Galatasaray’s favour.
