(Video) Alternative footage of Alejandro Garnacho’s acrobatic finish to silence the Everton crowd

Fan footage of Alejandro Garnacho’s sublime overhead kick against Everton shows just how ridiculous the strike actually was.

Although we aren’t fond of fans recording material at games, instead of chanting or enjoying the game, it can be forgiven when someone captures incredible moments.

It was a goal that left Goodison Park in a state of shock.

After full-back Diogo Dalot sent in a cross, Garnacho adjusted his body acrobatically before hitting the top corner.

Scenes emerged as 3,000 fans in the away end at Goodison Park erupted just three minutes into the game. One fan managed to capture the moment on their phone, with the footage now going viral on social media:

Garnacho was given the man of the match award for his performance in the 3-0 win over Everton. He also earned a place in the BBC Sport team of the week.

He will be expecting a place in the starting line-up to face Galatasaray in the Champions League this week.
