Manchester United get back to Premier League action this weekend with a trip to Goodison Park, but Erik ten Hag still doesn’t know if Rasmus Hojlund will make it.

Everton go into the game after being docked 10 points by the Premier League for financial breaches and there’s a febrile atmosphere expected.

Manchester United fans have been dealt a mixed bag of news ahead of the game, with Andre Onana fit for the game after a recent injury but Rasmus Hojlund is a doubt after tweaking his hamstring in the last game against Luton Town.

Onana sustained an injury whilst playing for Cameroon in their 3-0 win over Mauritius last week, however, he has been training this week and is expected to start between the sticks at Goodison Park.

Meanwhile, Hojlund will undergo a fitness test on Saturday. He pulled out of the recent Denmark squad due to injury. The same happen to Christian Eriksen and the midfield is certain to be absent this weekend.

Luke Shaw will also return to the squad for the trip to Everton.

“Andre is okay,” Erik ten Hag said, as quoted by the Manchester Evening News. “He stepped in training today, he’s good. Ramus: still a close finish. He’s training, he finished outside, making very good steps and we have to wait until tomorrow and we will make a final decision.

“Luke Shaw will be available for Sunday, he will be in the squad. To Jonny: he’s on the way back, he’s not ready for Everton, he will not take long.”

Ten Hag also delivered the news that Jonny Evans will miss the game at the weekend. This means either Victor Lindelof or Raphael Varane will start at centre-back alongside Harry Maguire.

The manager is banned from the touchline at Goodison Park after receiving three yellow cards in league games this season. As a result, Ten Hag will watch the game from the director’s box.
