Manchester United visit Goodison Park on Sunday, with Bruno Fernandes suggesting it will be a tougher game than usual against Everton.
The Portuguese Magnifico admits that it will be “really difficult” to face Everton this weekend because he expects the Toffees to spark a response following their points deduction in the Premier League.
Fernandes has been away on international duty but he previewed the game against Everton after Portugal’s 2-0 win over Iceland.
“We have to focus game by game, now we have an away game against Everton and it’s really difficult to play there,” Fernandes told FourFourTwo.
“They just lost 10 points, so we know that they need points, they are going to fight for their points, so we just have to find the focus to go to Everton and win the game, because we know that in the Premier League, these kinds of games are always tough.
“Obviously, [Galatasaray] after that is a massive game, we know the position we are in the Champions League, what we need to do. So, it’s good to focus on game by game, because we can’t think too much ahead.”
United need to go on a winning run to climb up the Premier League table. Our performances this season aren’t enough to fill any of us with hope, but it’s time for Fernandes and co to stand up in a United shirt after such a slow start to the season.
The Reds need to be beating Everton – regardless of a 10-point deduction.
