Manchester United, Liverpool & Arsenal in hunt for 21-year-old Spain star when loan expires

Manchester United are among three Premier League clubs that are hoping to sign Ansu Fati when his loan deal with Brighton and Hove Albion comes to an end, as per Football Transfers.

The 21-year-old is currently enjoying a season away from Barcelona to showcase his talents and further develop his skills under the highly-rated Roberto De Zerbi; Fati was so keen to work with the coach that he reportedly turned down an approach from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer to opt for the Amex.

Since the deal was agreed, Fati has notched four goals and one assist across both the Premier League and Europa League.

Fati’s bad luck on the injury front

The Spanish international, who was granted the iconic No. 10 shirt when Lionel Messi departed Catalonia in 2021, has suffered an injury-plagued career thus far. When he broke onto the scene in August 2019, Fati was quickly regarded as one of the hottest prospects in European football but after suffering a string of injury blows, he has struggled to live up the expectations.

Now, the young talent is hoping to get his career back on track by impressing both Brighton and Barcelona fans this term. Unfortunately for Arsenal, Liverpool and United – the three teams keen to sway him their way – he is reportedly set on returning to his parent club at the end of the season and proving himself under Xavi.
