Everton in strong position to keep hold of Manchester United targets in January

Everton fans don’t need to fear about losing any key players to Manchester United in January.

The threat of relegation and further Premier League punishment has not changed too much at Goodison Park, we’re led to believe.

TEAMtalk understand Everton will not accept cut-price offers for their star players in January as clubs, including Manchester United, reportedly monitor the situation that unfolds following the Toffees were docked 10 points for breaches of profit and sustainability rules.

Everton were given an almighty slap on the wrist, while Man City escape freely with 115 charges hanging over their name. What a world we live in.

Two players linked with switches to Old Trafford include Jarrad Branthwaite and Amadou Onana. There were suggestions that United wanted to take advantage of Everton’s recent struggles by signing two of their key players.

However, sources are adamant that no move will be sanctioned unless there is a fee that the club feels represents the talent they have on their hands.

That seems like a fair approach but it will change if Everton fail to secure Premier League safety this term

The points deduction could come as a major blow come the end of the season.
