Manchester United’s international Reds are continuing to impress this week and now, Bruno Fernandes has added to his long, long list of talismanic performances for Portugal.
Fernandes is one of the first names on the team-sheet for Portugal and just like at Old Trafford, he is the heartbeat of the midfield.
Portugal have strolled into the group stages of next summer’s European Championship and have played out the last couple of rounds as formalities.
They do have an added incentive, however. Victory over Iceland on Sunday evening would secure ten wins from as many games – a perfect qualifying record.
With the first half entering its final 10 minutes, Fernandes broke the deadlock with a stunning strike from just inside the box, as seen below.

The 29-year-old has now scored 6 and assisted a further 7 goals in just nine appearances for Portugal in their qualifying campaign.
Yet another superb strike. Eat your hearts out, haters!
