Bruno Fernandes would like Portuguese starlet to join him at Manchester United

Bruno Fernandes has urged Manchester United to sign fellow Portugal sensation Joao Neves.

Reports suggest the Reds already have the 19-year-old midfielder on their scouting radar, but it is also believed that Neves is attracting interest from a number of Europe’s elite clubs.

In Portugal they’re fully convinced Neves will become a future superstar for the country. And now, Fernandes has made it crystal clear that he would like the Benfica youngster at Old Trafford.

“I would love to have him at United, he has top quality! But it’s Joao choice,” Fernandes told Sport TV Portugal, as quoted by the Express. “He’s a great player but it depends on the coach ideas! He will have a great future, in United or somewhere else.”

I don’t think Fernandes is being too bold with his response, although he does make it clear that he believes Neves will reach the top. He is talking about such a young player, too, but if he’s on United’s radar he must be doing something right.

Benfica will be in no rush to sell and they know how to make money from young talent. It highly doubt signing him will be a straightforward process.

The Portuguese giants demanded a world-record fee for Enzo Fernandes from Chelsea last January.
