David de Gea may finally have a decent offer on the table to return to football.
The Spanish goalkeeper has been out of action since his Manchester United contract expired in the summer, and the Daily Star believe he has been offered a deal by Inter Miami supremo David Beckham.
De Gea, 33, has been a free agent since the summer and I can only imagine that he wants to get back on the pitch. He refused to take a pay cut at United and is obviously holding out for something he wants to invest his time in.
Now, it sounds like one offer could see him link up with Lionel Messi in the MLS.
Former United academy graduate Phil Neville was sacked as Inter Miami manager during the summer. The MLS outfit are currently managed by Gerardo Martino.
You can be sure, if that is true, De Gea will have other offers from the United States. It would be a better move for his future – and legacy – and he was to turn down any moves from Saudi Arabia.
The report also states that De Gea has already turned down a move to Saudi Arabia, although the Star also suggests Real Betis and Valencia are interested as well as the fact a return to La Liga may suit the Spaniard.
Let us know where you think De Gea will end up. Is it time for him to leave Europe?
