Contrary reports suggest uncertain future for Manchester United right-back amid West Ham links

Aaron Wan Bissaka, without question, is seen by the majority as Manchester United best right-back. That is not to say everyone is convinced by the former Crystal Palace defender but he’s an upgrade on Diogo Dalot.

That is why I wouldn’t be surprised if United did all they could to sign Wan-Bissaka up on a new deal, unless a good offer came in for his signature which has yet to happen.

According to FootballTransfers, West Ham are looking at Wan-Bissaka as a possible target amid Vladimir Coufal’s uncertain future at the club.

It is believed the Hammers are seeking a new right-back after they reportedly expressed interest in acquiring the United right-back during the summer. However, respected West Ham fan outlet Clare and Hugh dismiss those claims as untrue and say there was no interest whatsoever!

Clare and Hugh go on to stress Wan-Bissaka has never been on West Ham’s transfer list.

Wan-Bissaka remained at the club and is now seen as Erik ten Hag’s preferred right-back when fit.

FootballTransfers believe a January move for Wan-Bissaka could be on the cards and suggest there’s also interest from Crystal Palace.

They believe the player would be more interested in joining David Moyes than his former club, but I think it’s a stretch of the imagination to say a January move is on the cards. Not when United don’t have a replacement lined up at right-back and when our defence has been depleted due to injuries all season.

Wan-Bissaka missed the win over Luton Town due to illness.
