Sir Jim Ratcliffe will reportedly encourage Erik ten Hag to swallow his pride and put an end to the ongoing feud with Jadon Sancho, as per The Mirror.

As Ratcliffe closes in on a 25 per cent stake in Manchester United, he wants to kick things off on the right foot and ensure the situation is put to bed between the manager and the player, even if Sancho ends up leaving the club.

The £73 million signing is expected to depart Old Trafford in January, with Juventus, Saudi Pro League clubs and Borussia Dortmund among those who would be open to taking Sancho on board.

Ratcliffe wants Sancho & Ten Hag to put differences aside

Should he make a move in the New Year, it’ll have gone four months since the 23-year-old stepped on the pitch. He is currently exiled from all first-team action and facilities – but this is something that Ratcliffe wants to see resolved.

In the INEOS CEO’s eyes, Ten Hag has inflicted damage on one of United’s assets and is conscious that keeping a young player earning £250,000 per week isolated will only drive down his value in the transfer market.
