Jim Ratcliffe ready to sell £300k-a-week Manchester United star to kickstart squad rebuild

Manchester United would reportedly be willing to part ways with Casemiro when Sir Jim Ratcliffe completes his buy-in, as per talkSPORT.

Numerous reports have suggested that the midfielder will be heavily pursued by Saudi Arabian clubs soon, with Al-Hilal believed to be one side mulling over an approach for both Casemiro and Jadon Sancho.

The latter of the pair is much more likely to leave in January given his ongoing expulsion from the first-team and all its facilities, while it remains to be seen if United would sanction a mid-season exit for Casemiro. Given their torrid luck on the injury front this term, Erik ten Hag would presumably want to keep his regular starters for added depth.

United must make decision on Casemiro’s future

Currently, the 31-year-old is sidelined with a hamstring issue and isn’t expected back until the New Year. He ranks as one of the Reds’ highest-earners on a whopping £300,000-a-week, but you’d be forgiven for thinking his performances haven’t lived up to such a high salary this season.
