Manchester United fans, former players, current players and legends of the game gathered today to pay their respects to one of the greatest icons we’ll ever know, Sir Bobby Charlton.
Charlton’s funeral procession took place at Manchester Cathedral, with crowds lining the streets to bid farewell as the hearse made its way past Old Trafford and to the private service.
His family were joined by numerous footballing figures who would’ve looked up to Sir Bobby the way we all did for everything he did for United, England and football as a whole.
Throughout his illustrious playing career, the Englishman lifted three Division One titles, an FA Cup and a European Cup, as well as the Three Lions’ first – and only – World Cup. Sir Bobby’s legacy will live on forever.
