Manchester United braced for Saudi interest in out-of-favour attacker during January window

Manchester United are seemingly braced for Saudi Arabian interest in Jadon Sancho this winter, as per The Telegraph.

The winger, along with Tottenham Hotspur’s Richarlison, are set be to pursued by clubs in the Saudi Pro League as they look to continue their big-money swoops of Europe to see what players they can attract.

Sancho looks almost nailed on to leave Old Trafford in the New Year and when it reaches January, he’ll have gone four months without stepping foot on the pitch for United. The 23-year-old has been completely exiled from all first-team action and facilities after refusing to apologise for Erik ten Hag over a now-deleted social media post, which hinted that the manager was a liar and that Sancho was a ‘scapegoat’.

Saudis had failed approach for Sancho in summer

When the situation first arose in September, Saudi clubs contacted the Red Devils in hopes of agreeing a late deal for Sancho, however, he had no desire to leave at that time. Whether or he’ll have changed his mind since spending so much time out of action remains to be seen, but the chances are, he’d presumably like to stay in Europe given his age and potential.
