(Video) Ten Hag makes feelings clear on Hojlund and Rashford’s goalscoring form

Manchester United are topping the Premier League form table as things stand, with no other side picking up more points than the Reds in their last five outings.

Erik ten Hag’s men have ran out winners in four of those games but all wins have been by the odd goal, with United struggling to kill games off by scoring a second and third goal.

Marcus Rashford has scored just one goal this season after finding the net 30 times last year and Rasmus Hojlund is still searching for his first Premier League strike despite scoring five in the Champions League – a tally bettered by no one in the competition.

Speaking after United’s 1-0 win over Luton earlier on Saturday, Ten Hag was asked about United’s goalscoring form and the manager made it clear that both Rashford and Hojlund will start to score goals.

“We created good chances so that’s very good,” Ten Hag told Sky Sports, as seen above.

“In the week, in the Champions League, Hojlund already scored five goals so I’m sure he will also do it in the Premier League.

“Marcus Rashford, we will know he will always score. He’s now in a moment he doesn’t score but it will come. As long as we create the chances, it will come so I’m confident about that.”

United now have three straight away games that could define how the rest of the season pans out, with a huge trip to Galatasaray sandwiched by games against Everton and Newcastle United.
