Manchester United are climbing the Premier League table after their latest win following Victor Lindelof’s second-half winner against Luton Town.

Erik ten Hag’s men were in desperate need of three points after a highly disappointing trip to Copenhagen earlier this week and although it was not as convincing as you would have hoped, three points in the bag before the international break is the perfect way to round off the latest round of fixtures.

Luton were compact and robust in their approach, frustrating United as they sat deep and guarded their defensive third but eventually, the breakthrough came through Lindelof, who scored his first goal since the 2020/21 season.

Man United Player Ratings

Andre Onana – 6
Another clean sheet for Onana and another assertive performance. Finding his feet.

Diogo Dalot – 6
Wasn’t troubled all too much defensively.

Harry Maguire – 8
Back in the side for a while it seems and you can’t say that it hasn’t been deserved. One of United’s best players in the last month.

Victor Lindelof – 8
Makes it work with Maguire and scored the huge winner.

Sergio Reguilon – 7
A rare start for the Spaniard – did well.

Scott McTominay – 6
Needs to step up now after United’s plethora of injuries.

Christian Eriksen – 6
Unfortunately had his afternoon cut short due to injury.

Bruno Fernandes – 7
United’s magic man keeps it ticking all over. The lack of productivity in the final third is hardly his fault.

Marcus Rashford – 5
Continuing to struggle this season but is showing promising signs at times. Body language is a worry.

Alejandro Garnacho – 6
United’s spark in some sequences but spurned a golden chance in the first half.

Rasmus Hojlund – 6
Still searching for his first Premier League goal despite being the joint-top goalscorer in the Champions League. Became the latest injury casualty in the second half and losing him for even just a couple of games would be disastrous. Thankfully, he has two weeks to recover before United’s next game.
