Manchester United must win at all costs against FC Copenhagen in the Champions League if they intend to qualify for the knockout phase.
The Reds got back to winning ways on Saturday after successive 3-0 defeats versus Man City and Newcastle, but the performance was below par yet again.
Bruno Fernandes scored a late goal at Fulham and United picked up three points on their travels. They will be hoping for a similar outcome from tonight’s game in Denmark.
When it comes to team news, Casemiro and Lisandro Martinez have been ruled out for the remainder of the season. On a more positive note, however, Erik ten Hag has Marcus Rashford and Victor Lindelof back in the squad.
Andre Onana will be looking for his sixth clean sheet of the season.
Ten Hag will be mindful of Jonny Evans playing too many games in quick succession, so Raphael Varane is expected to come back into the team, alongside Harry Maguire.
At full-back, we’ll see Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Diogo Dalot operate at full-back.
Christian Eriksen and Scott McTominay keep their places in midfield – along with Bruno Fernandes – but I think Ten Hag needs to switch things around on the right flank. Maybe give Facundo Pellistri a run because Antony’s end product has been non-existent this season.
Meanwhile, Marcus Rashford will return to the left flank and Rasmus Hojlund will lead the line.
Manchester United predicted XI vs Copenhagen: Onana, Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Maguire, Dalot; McTominay, Eriksen, Fernandes; Pellistri, Hojlund, Rashford.
