Casemiro will reportedly be the subject of an approach from Saudi Arabia as early as January 2024, as per 90min’s Talking Transfers podcast.
Currently, the Manchester United star is sidelined for several weeks with a hamstring injury he sustained against Newcastle United, but when fit, Casemiro is a mainstay in Erik ten Hag’s line-ups.
The experienced veteran played a pivotal role for the Reds in his first season in England and was deemed by many as one of the club’s most influential signings under Ten Hag. This term though, he has come under fire for his frequent lacklustre showings.
Saudis readying Casemiro swoop
It is believed that Casemiro, 31, has been deemed a priority target for the Saudi Pro League and that clubs in the division could approach United in the winter transfer window.
The Brazilian currently earns around £350,000 per week at Old Trafford so if the club can cash in and acquire a fee they deem acceptable, they may opt to send him packing.
