Alejandro Garnacho was handed a start on Saturday after Marcus Rashford was ruled out with an injury.
Fans had been calling for the young Argentina international to be handed a start in recent weeks, with Rashford struggling for form, but he got a second successive start at Craven Cottage on Saturday afternoon.
Garnacho worked hard against Fulham but had little joy.
However, with his side being held to a frustrating draw at half-time, Garnacho decided to give his shirt to a Fulham fan before heading down the tunnel.

The young forward returned for the second half with a new shirt.
Many will wonder why Garnacho would give his shirt to a Fulham fan, but the young lad looked like he was in dreamland. It wasn’t like the kid didn’t want the shirt!
United went on to clinch three points thanks to Bruno Fernandes’ stoppage-time winner. It was what we needed after having a goal controversially disallowed after the first 8 minutes when Scott McTominay found the back of the net.Â
